Dr. Hanna MASSAD
Pastor Hanna Massad (born in Gaza City 1960) is a pastor, author and missionary to Gaza, the West Bank and Jordan. As founder and director of Christian Mission to Gaza (CMG), he has led the ministry to help raise awareness for persecuted Christians, provide support for approximately 900 (Iraqi and Syrian) refugee families (4,000 individuals) and six leaders in Jordan (also about 220 families in Gaza and the West Bank). The ministry also helps to support the Lighthouse School, the only evangelical school in the Gaza Strip, catering to 240 students. CMG serves as one of very few Christian organizations among nearly two million Muslims in one of the poorest and most densely populated areas of the world. Dr. Massad was the first local pastor at the Gaza Baptist Church, where he continues to minister and support the church, providing messages via live stream and recorded sermons. In addition to meeting their spiritual needs, the ministry provides food relief to the community in Gaza (the West Bank) and Jordan. Dr. Hanna Massad holds a bachelor’s degree from Bethlehem Bible College, a Master of Divinity degree and Ph.D. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He now lives with his wife, Suhad, and two daughters, Joyce and Jolene in Wilton, Connecticut and travels to Gaza and Jordan three times a year in order to support the church there. Dr. Massad also travels around the world to share the stories of these families, raising awareness and much needed support.
